Managing Director of FarmBuild, Colin Gregg began his apprenticeship with his father, Bruce Gregg, at age 15. He has built on his family’s hard work to grow FarmBuild into the success it is today. With over 30 years experience working in rural environments, Colin understands farmers’ needs and manages strategic operations of FarmBuild to ensure client expectations are always exceeded.
Hailing from a farm in Central Otago, Patrick McCarthy has been working with the Gregg family since 2000, where he began as a carpenter. An apprenticeship turned into a role as a foreman, where Patrick worked on an expansive variety of projects – from woolsheds and stables to architectural housing. Patrick went into business with Colin in 2011 and now as the Managing Director of Central Otago-based FarmBuild South, serving the lower half of the South Island.
Colin’s wife, Katey Gregg, has managed the administration side of FarmBuild for 20 years. Working alongside her husband enables Katey to handle both the daily administration of the company and implement new systems – such as dedicated reporting software for the building industry – into the firm.
From a Wanaka farming family, Deanna has a Bachelor of Commerce in Agriculture and experience working on sheep, beef, and dairy farms. Deanna worked for RD1 (now known as Farm Source) for three years as a technical representative. She now lives and works with her husband Patrick running day-to-day operations on Patrick’s family farm, and manages the administration side of the FarmBuild South.
Marie Wall works alongside Katey in administration and accounts at FarmBuild. Coming from a building family herself, she understands the processes, pressures, and people involved. Marie provides the necessary support in client relations to help the FarmBuild team execute every project from initial consultation to final handover.
