When Kylie Duncan purchased a farmlette property near Tarras in Central Otago, she came to us to see about plans for a new-build home on the property. We worked closely with Kylie on developing a plan to cover all her needs for this build.

We settled on plans for a simplified, farmhouse-style 2-bedroom home with a central bathroom and storage area. A cosy log burner in the corner of the living area backs onto a hardwood rusticated feature wall, and beautiful macrocarpa bench tops that were hand-crafted by our FarmBuild team are an eye-catching feature in the kitchen. Also included is an attached 2-bay garage and open carport for wood or vehicle storage.
In addition to the house, we completed a set of sheds and storage for the property, including a 3-bay shed, hay storage and a 1 bay lockable shed to be used as a tack room.
I used Patrick McCarthy and his Farmbuild team to build my house in 2018. They also built me a hay barn / tack shed in 2018 and lined my garage in 2021.
I will continue to use their services to complete my stables and a further four bays on my hay barn.
The Farmbuild team were extremely professional on every level. They have excellent communication and helped with building plans. Their workmanship was completed to perfection, they gave practical friendly advice when required and they always left the job site tidy. The team were very polite and I was impressed by how well they worked together. Nothing was ever a problem for the Farmbuild team – they continued to provide a great service throughout along with follow up after completion.
